ATHENS, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's volleyball team lost its Mid-American Conference opener on Friday in three sets.
Junior led Toledo with seven kills, while sophomore and junior were close behind with six terminations. Vance also led all players with five blocks. Freshman registered 16 assists and eight digs, and junior had a team-high 18 digs.
Toledo and Ohio will play again tomorrow at 2:00 p.m.
Set 1 (Ohio, 25-14)
Toledo used a 5-0 run to take an 8-5 lead early on. Later, Ohio went on a 5-0 run of its own to take a 12-10 lead and wouldn't look back for the remainder of the set.
