BIRMINGHAM, Ala.— The Toledo baseball team fell to UAB, 9-5, on Saturday at Regions Field in Birmingham.
The Rockets led for nearly the entire game until a late offensive outburst by the Blazers. UAB scored seven runs in the bottom of the eighth to stun Toledo and even the series at 1-1.
Junior threw seven solid innings for Toledo, striking out five while walking just two. Sophomore drove in two runs and had one of the Rockets' two extra-base hits on Saturday. Junior went 2-for-4 at the plate, and sophomore extended his hitting streak to 19 games.
