TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's basketball team hosted Northwestern Ohio on Sunday in an exhibition contest and ran away with an 88-23 victory.
"It was nice to see a solid effort from everyone on our roster today," head coach said. "We can't wait for the regular season to begin."
The Rockets played suffocating defense on Sunday, collecting 24 steals and holding the Racers to just 10 points combined in the final three quarters. Toledo shot 46 percent (28-for-61) from the field in the game, while UNOH made 25 percent (8-for-32) of its shots.
