TOLEDO, OH – Freshman Mariella Santucci scored 19 points to lead Toledo to a 99-41 win over Lock Haven in a preseason exhibition game in Savage Arena on Saturday.
Santucci shot 7-of-9 from the floor and added four assists. The Rockets placed three other players in double figures, including sophomore Olivia Cunningham (14 points), Michaela Rasmussen (12) and Mae Tshitenge (11). UT had a total of 11 players find the scoring column, leading to a 45-11 margin in bench production. The Rockets shot 55% (35-64) from the field, while holding the Bald Eagles to just 29% (15-52).
