Toledo, Ohio - Adrian Ghioroaie has been promoted to associate head coach of the University of Toledo's women's track and field team, head coach Linh Nguyen announced on Thursday. Ghioroaie has been serving as an assistant coach for sprints, jumps, and multi-event athletes since the 2015-16 track and field season.
"I'm very excited to announce that we have elevated Adrian to the position of associate head coach," said Nguyen. "Adrian made an immediate impact on our program and has continued to be a great leader. He's been responsible for mentoring multiple MAC champions on the track and for the overall rise in our sprints/jumps/multis group.
