Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo football team opened its 2018 preseason training camp with a pair of split-squad practices at the Glass Bowl on Friday, with half the team practicing early in the morning and the other half taking a session that lasted until noon. The defending Mid-American Conference champions will continue with the split practices over the weekend, and then begin full-team practices on Wednesday.
"It was a very productive first day," said head coach Jason Candle, whose team is coming off an 11-3 season. "It was a kind of like shock and awe as far as conditioning goes, as sometimes happens on the first day.
