TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo football team opened its preseason training camp Wednesday morning with the first of 24 practices before the season opener at Illinois on Sept. 2. The defending MAC Champion Rockets had a pair of split-squad practices on Wednesday and will begin full-squad practices next week.
"We're excited to be back, excited to be on the field in a full team setting where you can actually do what you love to do," said Jason Candle, now in his eighth season as Toledo's head coach.
