EAST LANSING, Mich. – Toledo registered its best finish ever at Michigan State's Mary Fossum Invitational on Sunday with a second-place showing and a team score of 41-over par 905 (296-304-305). UT's previous best finish in 17 trips to the Forest Akers West Golf Course was a pair of third-place showings in 2014 and 2015.
"I was really happy that we were able to hold on to a second-place finish," Head Coach Nicole Hollingsworth said. "Michigan State is probably going to be a Top 10 program this season, and I thought we learned a lot of things this weekend that can help us moving forward.
