Buffalo, N.Y. - Junior Shanice Williams won her heat of the 100m dash and sophomore Athena Welsh took eight seconds off her 3,000m steeplechase personal record as the Toledo women's track and field team closed out day two of the 2018 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by the University at Buffalo.
"Today was a short but productive day," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "We have about six events tomorrow that we can score points in so we need to maximize our efforts and have a really good final day.
