TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo and all of Rocket Nation mourn the death of junior football player Jahneil Douglas, who was shot in an incident in Toledo on Tuesday night.
Douglas, a Toledo native who attended nearby Start High School, was a defensive lineman and played in seven games in 2019.
"We were all shocked to learn of the tragic death of Jahneil Douglas," said Mike O'Brien, UToledo Vice President and Athletic Director. "This is a devastating loss for our football team and our University, and a very sad day for all of us in Rocket Nation.
