TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's track and field team is sending three competitiors to the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University in Boston, Mass. on Friday, while the bulk of the team is set to compete at the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich. Friday and Saturday.

Junior Meltem Yasar and senior Petronela Simiuc posted seventh-place finishes in the 3,000 meters (9:48.69) and mile (4:42.40), respectively at the JDL Camel City Elite in Winston-Salem, N.C. The bulk of the squad traveled to Akron, where they competed in the Akron Invitational, posting seven personal-bests and eight top-10 finishes.
