TOLEDO, Ohio – Nearly 100 student-athletes, coaches and staff from the University of Toledo Athletic Department lent a helping hand to the Toledo community by volunteering their time on Friday, April 19, better known locally as "419 Day."
The Rockets collaborated with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful to help clean up six locations throughout the City of Toledo.
"From the downtown revitalization, to the booming local business community, the City of Toledo and the Northwest Ohio community is our competitive advantage," said UT Vice President and Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair. "That is why we are so bullish on #TeamToledo, as the community, University, and Toledo Athletics pull together to empower our collective dreams and aspirations.
