The University of Toledo football team holds a 19-7 lead over Elon at halftime at the Glass Bowl.
UT kicker Jameson Vest opened the second-quarter scoring with a 32-yard field goal to complete a 11-play, 39-yard drive and give Toledo a 16-0 lead.
After Toledo’s Desmond Phillips fumbled on a punt return, Elon got on the board on a 9-yard TD scamper from Brelynd Cyphers to cut the Toledo lead to 16-7 with 4:33 left in the first half.
Vest added a 21-yard field goal with 56 seconds left in the half, which gave UT a 19-7 edge going into the locker room.
