TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo will send sophomore Joy Chirchir and junior Madeline Vining to Jacksonville, Fla. to compete in the 2023 NCAA East Regional Outdoor Track & Field Championships on the campus of North Florida University on Wednesday-Saturday, May 24-27.
The women's first day of competition begins on Thursday, where Chirchir and Vining will close out the day with the 10,000m race.
In each event, the top-12 finishers will join the top-12 finishers in the West Regional Championships (Sacramento, Calif.) to complete the field of 24 participants at the national championships. The 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships will be held on Wednesday-Saturday, June 7-10 at Mike A.
