Chicago, IL – Logan Woodside threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns, and Kareem Hunt rushed for 122 yards to lead Toledo to a 31-24 come-from-behind victory over Northern Illinois at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago Wednesday night. The Rockets trailed at halftime, 14-3, but outscored the Huskies, 28-10, in the final 30 minutes.
The victory was critical for Toledo (8-2, 5-1 MAC), which helped it remain a game behind Western Michigan in the West Division standings of the Mid-American Conference. It also snapped a six-game losing streak to NIU (3-7, 3-3 MAC), with many of those losses knocking UT out of the hunt for a MAC title.
