TOLEDO, Ohio - The bulk of the Toledo women's track and field team will compete in the Akron Invitational in Akron, Ohio, while senior Petronela Simiuc and juniors Meltem Yasar and Semera Karaslan will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the JDL Camel City Elite meet. Both meets will run Friday and Saturday.

The Rockets split up between Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Jan. 24 in Boston, Mass. and the SPIRE Midwest Open on Jan. 25 in Geneva, Ohio. Simiuc shattered Toledo's all-time mile record, posting a time of 4:38.
