Bloomington, Ind. - The Toledo softball team shuttered Saint Francis, 11-0, and fell to No. 19 Indiana, 9-6, today on day one of Indiana's Hoosier Classic. Sophomore pitcher recorded her fifth win of the year while senior and sophomore both homered against the Red Flash. All but one Rocket scored a run in game one as well.
Game 1
- UT controlled the game almost from the very beginning. The Midnight Blue and Gold jumped to an early lead in the second inning when Bergman homered with one on to make the score 2-0. In the bottom of the frame with Hunt in the circle, two strikeouts and a grounder to sophomore Kylie Norwood at shortstop set up a big Toledo third inning.
