TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team pulled away from Saginaw Valley State late in a 74-62 exhibition victory at Savage Arena on Wednesday evening.
The Rockets jumped out to an early double-digit advantage early, but the Cardinals pushed back and pulled to within a possession in the second half. The Rockets used a 15-4 run in the game's final 6:21 to secure the victory.
Toledo was led by sophomore Evalyse Cole, who scored 15 points on 6-of-10 from the field. Juniors Kendall Carruthers (11 points) and Ella Weaver (10 points) also finished in double figures.
