TOLEDO, Ohio - The Rockets' track and field throwing group competed in the Toledo Invitational and battled a steady rain throughout the competition on Thursday afternoon.
Katie Dewey led the Rockets with a third place finish in the shot put. Dewey marked 13.44 meters to finish on the podium, while Sally Frank (11.92m) and Kallie Strauss (11.72m) placed seventh and eighth, respectively.
Anna Bellman led the UT discus throwers with a sixth-place finish, tossing 40.64m. Frank was just behind, taking seventh at 35.94m. Dewey rounded out Toledo's marks with a 12th-place throw of 33.
