Rockets Fall to Akron in 2025 Season Finale

Sophomore Paige Dornheggen makes five saves in second start of season

AKRON, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Akron in the Rockets' final match of the 2025 season on Wednesday afternoon.

Toledo (4-8-6, 1-7-4 MAC), trailed 1-0 after conceding to Akron (5-9-4, 2-7-3 MAC) in the 13th minute, but kept things to just a one-goal game heading into halftime. Making her second start of the season in goal, Paige Dornheggen saved three straight Akron shots to close out the half.
