Nashville, Tenn.— The University of Toledo baseball team could not overcome a six-run first inning by Lipscomb in its 12-6 loss to the Bisons on Thursday.
Toledo surrendered nine runs in the first three innings and was unable to counteract Lipscomb's offensive outburst. Sophomore Trace Hatfield led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 and scoring twice. Senior Brad Boss notched two hits and junior Michael Ryan drove in a pair of runs at the plate. Sophomore Kyle Bischoff, senior Luke Schaefer, and freshmen Kyle Jones and Jamie Myers saw time on the mound.
