TOLEDO, Ohio - A pair of goals from seniors and and a shutout defensively was enough to give Toledo its first win of the season, 2-0, over Canisius in the home opener at Scott Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Rockets (1-0-1) took the lead in the 25th minute when Scafaria came up from her defensive position to knock in a bouncing ball for her first goal of the season.
Canisius (1-1-0) put just one shot one goal in the opening half, which was easily stopped by freshman . Perrin recorded her second career shutout in as many matches.
