JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Madeline Vining and sophomore Joy Chirchir closed out their outdoor track & field season representing the Toledo women's track & field team in the 10k race of the NCAA East Regional Championships Thursday evening at Hodges Stadium, and finished 32nd and 39th respectively.
Vining crossed the line first for UT duo with a time of 35:03.71, while Chirchir was clocked at a time of 35:35.97. Both Rockets finished nearly a minute faster than their previous 10,000m race attempt at the 2023 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships earlier this month in Akron, Ohio.
