AKRON, Ohio - Junior Megan Choate hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning that helped propel Toledo to a 5-2 win over Western Michigan in the Mid-American Conference Tournament action Friday afternoon. The Rockets, who blasted three home runs in the contest, survived the elimination game and will now move on to play the winner of Ball State-Kent State contest. First pitch for the game will be approximately 6:00 p.m. tonight.
Freshman Bailey Curry and junior Kaitlyn Bergman joined Choate in the Rockets' home run derby. Curry became the all-time single season record holder with her 14th home run of the season.
