TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's basketball team (11-3, 6-0 MAC) will put its eight-game winning streak on the line when it travels to Akron on Saturday, Jan. 16 to battle the defending Mid-American Conference regular-season champion Zips (4-3, 2-2 MAC). The contest will tip off at 2:00 p.m. in Rhodes Arena and be streamed on ESPN-Plus.
The Rockets currently sit at the top of the league standings with a 6-0 mark. Toledo's 6-0 start to MAC play is its best since going 7-0 in the 2006-07 campaign. The Rockets' 2006-07 and 1978-79 squads share the school record for best start to a league season.
