Bryan Gasser’s parents still live in Northwood.
Three of his brothers reside just a few miles from the Glass Bowl.
He graduated from Cardinal Stritch and the Ohio Northern alum’s first job was coaching the offensive line and special teams at Otsego. (You’ll have to forgive Gasser for receiving a master’s degree from Bowling Green.)
Returning to the University of Toledo, where Gasser served in three different capacities from 2010 to 2015, wasn’t a taxing decision.
“It’s a great opportunity,” said Gasser, who’s replacing Ricky Ciccone as director of player personnel and recruiting coordinator. “I have a great relationship with coach [Jason] Candle.
