University of Toledo coach Jason Candle knows he has something unique with junior quarterback Mitch Guadagni.
For the first time in his tenure at Toledo, Candle has a quarterback that is a threat in the running game. Guadagni has shown the ability to extend plays outside the pocket and make good run-pass decisions on the edge, adding a new dimension to the Toledo offense.
So far it has worked as Guadagni is coming off a game against Nevada when he rushed for a team-high 131 yards, the second-best rushing output for a quarterback in program history.
