Even before the Mid-American Conference presidents voted to begin a fall football season, University of Toledo coach Jason Candle planted that seed of possibility in his players’ heads.
“To be honest with you, I felt like it was trending that way,” Candle said on Monday at a press conference. “I felt like this was where the momentum was going. Once the Big Ten reverted and went back to as best to normal as we can get, I figured and hoped that we would be close behind. I give everybody a lot of credit for getting this thing back on track and doing the right thing, because I think our kids really deserve this opportunity.
