Toledo, Ohio — University of Toledo senior Pimchanok Kawil (Chiang Mai, Thailand) was named Female Scholar Athlete of the Week by the Mid-American Conference for her record-breaking performance at Kentucky's Bettie Lou Evans Invitational last weekend.
Kawil re-wrote the Rockets' record book this weekend when she broke school records for 18 holes and 54 holes by two shots each en route to a third-place finish. She fired a tournament-record seven-under 65 on Saturday to finished the tourney with a program-record eight-under par 208 (73-65-70).
Kawil, who possesses a 3.675 grade-point average in operation and supply chain management, is tied for first on the team with a 72.
