Page turned, Toledo focuses on Western Kentucky and getting back on track

The mood inside the Larimer Athletic Complex is subdued but focused.

The University of Toledo’s preseason expectations took a hit during Saturday’s loss at Kentucky. All hope, however, isn’t lost. There’s an immediate opportunity to get back on track and inject a dose of confidence.

Western Kentucky is coming to the Glass Bowl on Saturday, and the Hilltoppers aren’t a run-of-the-mill Group of Five program. They are almost a mirror image of Toledo over the past decade, consistently winning at a high level and annually producing NFL talent.

WKU is 2-0 and armed with a potent passing attack.
