Paced by a fifth-place finish from Sophie Eppelstun, Ohio State’s women’s golf team won the Inverness Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes won the 54-hole tournament with the help of a final-round team score of 3-under-par 281. For the tournament, Ohio State finished at 34-over 886.
Florida, the leader through two rounds, took second at 37-over 880. Princeton was third at 39-over 891, followed by North Carolina State (49-over 901) and Texas Christian (50-over 902).
The University of Toledo was 11th in the 12-team field at 86-over 938.
"We improved throughout tournament, and that's what I'm looking for," UT coach Ali Green said.
