Twenty games remain in the Toledo men’s basketball season, but it feels like the halfway point.
The Rockets began the regular season nearly two months ago and are transitioning from the nonconference schedule to Mid-American Conference games.
So far, there’s been evidence of the team that coach Tod Kowalczyk believed would win the MAC before the season began. UT is 8-3 and a whisker away from being 9-2 with a Quad 1 road win at Richmond. They will settle for the current position, coming off a confidence-boosting beatdown of Marshall.
The starting five is as good of a group as Kowalczyk has had in his dozen years at Toledo.
