Ninth Inning Comeback Bid Falls Short, Rockets Fall to Lions, 7-5

Baton Rouge, La.— Toledo dropped a back-and-forth affair on Saturday afternoon to Southeastern Louisiana, 7-5.

The Lions grabbed an early lead, but the Rockets reclaimed the advantage with its offensive production in the middle innings. Toledo held a 4-1 lead heading into the sixth inning, but Southeastern scored in each of the next four innings to chip away and eventually reclaim the lead for good.

Sophomore Layne Schnitz-Paxton started the game for Toledo, throwing 5.1 innings while allowing two runs. Freshman Bryce Davis and junior Nate Haugh pitched for UT out of the bullpen.
