The Mid-American Conference men’s basketball poll, as voted by the league’s 12 coaches, was released last week.
Toledo, the three-time defending champions, was voted fourth. The Rockets lost their top three leading scorers, so it wasn’t a shock. Junior guard Ra’Heim Moss was not on either of the preseason All-MAC teams. He’s started every game the past two seasons, yet only had two votes.
“All that stuff is politics,” Moss said. “We need to stay focused on the goal, which is winning championships.”
The Rockets open the season against Detroit Mercy at 7 p.m. Monday at Savage Arena.
