KALAMAZOO, Mich. — From 2019 to 2020, maybe the biggest thing University of Toledo sophomore cornerback Chris McDonald improved upon was his awareness on the field.
“Coming in as a freshman last year, I was more relying on my talent kind of like what you do in high school,” McDonald said. “But now, I'm just starting to learn more, learn personnel, and all that type of stuff. My awareness this year is totally different and good. I just see things different now.
“I see things better because I'm not new to the program. I'm not just trying to get by.
