TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Toledo Athletic Department and Rocket Sports Properties announced today that Mark Beier will return to his role as radio play-by-play announcer for Rocket football and men's basketball games next year.
Beier served as the radio voice for Rocket football and men's basketball for 21 years before retiring in 2016. He returned to handle play-by-play for Toledo men's basketball in January.
Beier, who recently retired from his role as manager for business development for Rocket Sports Properties, began calling Toledo football in 1995. A year later, he added men's basketball to his duties.
