Winston-Salem, NC – The Toledo track & field program wrapped up day one of the Wake Forest Open at Kentner Stadium on Friday, March 18.
Six Rockets finished in the top-eight of their events. Senior Liz Weiler picked up the only Rocket victory of the day in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:45.84. Weiler did not relinquish the lead for the entire race.
Senior Kyesha Neal took home the second highest finish of the night in the shot put with a 14.62m throw. Junior Ty'Shai Freeman finished fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 11.
