Lightning Strikes in 1-0 Rocket Victory

TOLEDO, Ohio - A lightning strike with just eight over minutes remaining by sophomore Anita Mancini was all the Toledo women's soccer team (5-10-0, 2-5-0 MAC) needed to secure a 1-0 victory Friday night at Paul Hotmer Field thanks to a stifling defense that shutdown the high-powered attack of Ball State (11-4-0, 5-2-0 MAC).

Playing on Friday night for the last time this season, the Rockets came up big at every turn. Toledo limited the pressure put on by the Cardinals and allowed only two shots on goal through 90 minutes. After stopping the Ball State attack, Mancini continued to put the pressure on the Cardinal defense and capitalized on Tristin Stuteville coming off her line.
