TOLEDO, Ohio – Senior Dee Dee Leenabanchong was named Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Singles Co-Player of the Week, the conference announced today. Leenabanchong shares the honor with Western Michigan's Femke Tjon-A-Joe.
The Bangkok, Thailand native posted a 2-0 singles record on the No. 1 court over the weekend with wins over Youngstown State and Marshall. Leenabanchong defeated Imaan Hassim 6-3, 6-3, helping the Rockets edge out the Penguins 4-3 on Saturday. On Sunday, Leenabanchong defeated Anna Smith, 7-5, 6-3, to post one of the Rockets' two points against the Thundering Herd.
