Growing up in Toledo, University of Toledo redshirt freshman running back Bryant Koback realized there were very good college running backs right in his backyard.
As a kid, he admired Rockets rusher David Fluellen. In high school, he marveled at the hard, physical running of Kareem Hunt.
And while he was influenced by those Toledo running backs, he realizes the tradition of Rockets runners dates back far longer. Names like Chester Taylor and Wasean Tait and many others carry weight in this city.
“When you hold people to high standards, they eventually have to play to those standards,” Koback said.
