PHILADELPHIA — DeShone Kizer’s path to his dream might not have included a re-enacted movie scene and a handshake with the big boss, but the destination was just the same.
Kizer is bound for the NFL after his exhausting draft wait ended Friday night.
And for many from his hometown, his new home couldn’t be any sweeter.
The Toledo native and former Notre Dame star is on his way to Cleveland, where he will attempt to help revive a Browns franchise forever in pursuit of its franchise quarterback. Cleveland made Kizer the 52nd overall selection in the second round.
