BOCA RATON, Fla. — Kalieb Osborne will make his University of Toledo starting debut in Tuesday’s Boca Raton Bowl.
The redshirt freshman takes over for full-time starter Tucker Gleason who went down with a back injury in the regular season finale against Central Michigan, according to interim head coach Robert Weiner.
Osborne saw action in six games this year, which included playing the entire second half against the Chippewas on Nov. 29. In that game, he completed 5 of 7 passing attempts for 108 yards with a touchdown. e also ran for 52 yards.
Gleason had been coached by Weiner since high school and made the trip to South Florida to support the team.
