Peoria, Ill. – The University of Toledo women's cross country team finished fifth at the Bradley Pink Classic in their second to last meet of the regular season on Friday.
Junior Athena Welsh led the Rockets with a time of 20:36.1 to finish in second place. Senior Jennifer Lichter placed 36th (21.33.2), sophomore Michelle Hostettler was 45th (21.45.3), freshman Claire Steigerwald finished 50th (21:49.4), and junior Stephanie Sherman was 56th (21.49.4).
"I'm pretty happy with the way things went today overall," head coach Linh Nguyen said. "Athena got out well and had another tremendous race.
