PRINCETON, N.J. – Toledo junior Joad Martinho recorded a career-best time of 23:14.9 to earn an eighth-place individual finish at the Princeton Fall Classic in Princeton, N.J. on Friday. This was Martinho's second-straight meet with a top-10 individual finish. He also earned fifth overall at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Oct. 3.
The men's team placed 17th as a team in a 31-team field, including four teams ranked or receiving votes in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll – No. 11 Syracuse, No. 20 Princeton, No. 29 Boise State and Oklahoma (receiving votes).
In the final team standings, the Rockets finished ahead of all three Mid-American Conference opponents: Eastern Michigan (23rd), Buffalo (24th) and UMass (25th).
