TOLEDO, OH - University of Toledo head coach Jason Candle met with bowl officials and members of the media at the Multiplex at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, AL on Thursday in preparation for the Rockets' appearance at the 2016 Raycom Media Camellia Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 17 (ESPN).
Toledo (9-3, 6-2 MAC) will face Appalachian State (9-3, 7-1 Sun Belt), the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the football field. The Rockets will depart for Montgomery on Tuesday. UT will be playing in its 16th bowl and sixth in the last seven years.
