CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo junior swimmer Izzy Jones was named Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Week after a strong performance against Bowling Green this past weekend. Jones had standout performances in the 200 and 1000 freestyles, clocking the fourth-fastest time in program history in the 1000 freestyle.
Jones touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle on the first day of the two-day dual meet against rival Bowling Green, clocking a season-best time of 1:48.88. Her time is the third-fastest in the MAC and fastest on the team this season. Jones also took first in the 1000 freestyle with the fourth-fastest time in program history at 9:58.
