The Toledo women’s basketball team spent the entire offseason rueing their missed opportunity in 2021-22.
For a record-setting season — 29 wins and a 19-1 Mid-American Conference record — there was an empty feeling when the Rockets lost to Middle Tennessee State in the WNIT quarterfinals.
They promised it wouldn’t happen again, beefing up the non-conference schedule and entering the 2022-23 season with a win-or-else mentality.
