Healthy Heidecker gives boost to Toledo offensive line

When it came to injuries, it seemed like every time University of Toledo offensive lineman Brandon Heidecker took one step forward it was followed quickly with two steps back.

Beginning in 2017, Heidecker tore the MCL in his right knee on three separate occasions. In August of 2017, Heidecker was in a battle for the starting right tackle job with Brant Weiss when he was rolled up on in a scrimmage.

He missed about five weeks and then accomplished his goal of traveling with the team to the game at Miami in Florida. Injuries left an opening at right guard, and Heidecker, a natural tackle, seized the opportunity for more playing time.
