TOLEDO, Ohio – It took a while for junior David Amm to realize how much playing golf could mean to his life. Growing up in Zimbabwe in southern Africa, he worked hard to become the best golfer possible, not thinking about the places it would take him.
"Playing college golf became a big goal of mine probably a little later than most people," said Amm, who grew up in the capital of Harare. "I didn't know a whole lot about playing golf in the United States until I had a couple of friends come over to play here when I was in 10th grade.
