TOLEDO, Ohio - Junior centerfield Garret Pike of the Toledo baseball team has been named the Mid-American Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced today. Pike currently holds a 3.457 grade-point average as a finance major.
A Waterville, Ohio native, Pike enjoyed a monster week at the plate last week with a .529 batting average, six home runs, and 10 RBIs in four games. He also scored nine runs and drew three walks while registering an eye-popping 1.588 slugging percentage to help Toledo post a 3-1 record and win its Mid-American Conference series vs.
